Went to the Museum of Modern Art yesterday. A few things going on: 1) I can hardly find the old museum inside the new museum, except for the old staircase with the Calder mobile hanging over it, 2) The Abstract Expressionist Show - from the permanent collection - great to see old friends, 3) Picasso Guitar Drawings: Incredible to be 'there' at the moment cubism exploded the pictoral plain. Incredible show. Damn, that man could paint faux wood! 4) Women photographer show - - great survey, 5) Gordon Matta Clark - - three panels extracted from a building - - Gotta love it.
