Acela from Boston to Stamford so fast the view's a blur.........

Took the train from Boston to Stamford last night.  The train hugs the shoreline.

And I like to sit facing backwards.

And I love blurry pictures!!

Ben Franklin. How cool is Ben Franklin?

Went to Philadelphia last weekend.  Had lunch.  Saw Ben.

My initials are BBB

Mosaic floor in the elevator of the Hotel near Grant Park where I stayed on a recent visit to Chicago. My Grandmother went to the Worlds Columbian Exposition in Chicago in 1893.  Right there.  Separated only by time.

The first crop of the spring is the fresh harvest of sea glass on the beach

I have walked the beaches of Connecticut since Lincoln was President.  Perhaps not that long.  But have walked them as a child, as a young adult, and with my children since the time they were little.  We would walk the length of the beach at Sasco Creek or Bering Hill, in the fall, the winter and the spring. Mostly when it's cold and no one is there.  Mostly, I look down, looking up a few times to take in the view, but mostly I look down, to find the sea glass which blooms mostly in the early Spring.   And here is a piece I found.

Visit to Boston

I spent a lot of time in Boston, this winter and spring.  I wasn't there on Patriots day.  I was there, the week before, and the week after.  These pictures are of the wonderful mosaic floor in the Fairmont Hotel on Copley Square.  Being 'there' removed only by time, is still too close for comfort.

There, but for the grace of God, go I.  The spirit and resilience of the City of Boston the week after Patriots day was a sight to behold.  Faith in mankind restored.
